Senior Data Analytics Specialist

Job Summary

To support the Office of Claims Division, the hybrid Senior Data Analytics Specialist will manage data and analytics projects, analyze results, and present key findings to business leaders while collaborating with various teams across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Models and develops data warehouse programs to meet business needs and analyzes metrics for auditing source data
• Prepares ad hoc and recurring reports using programming languages and software tools, assessing the financial implications of business decisions
• Partners with leaders to identify data and analytics goals, measuring the effectiveness of strategies in driving performance improvement

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with two years of experience in research, analysis, strategic planning, financial analysis, or related field; or an Associate degree with four years of experience; or a high school diploma with six years of experience
• Advanced knowledge of SAS, SQL, SPSS, Python, R, or other data analysis programs
• Experience with dataset programming, querying, and reporting design
• Insurance industry experience preferred
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, and flow-charting software required
