Senior Data Architect

Job Summary

Providing independent architectural guidance, the full-time Senior Data Architect will focus on architecture assurance, risk mitigation, and platform adoption for an enterprise Data Modernization program, working remotely with client stakeholders and vendor teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide objective evaluations of the current data platform architecture and identify design risks
• Assess alignment with modern data platform paradigms and validate architectural decisions
• Proactively identify technical risks and support leadership with architecture risk summaries

Required Qualifications

• 14 years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or analytics platform engineering
• Strong background in Databricks-based lakehouse implementations at scale
• Deep expertise in Databricks platform architecture, AWS cloud, and Apache Spark
• Ability to operate independently as a trusted advisor in a multivendor environment
• Proven capability to challenge existing designs and drive consensus among stakeholders
