Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support healthcare data analytics, the remote contract Senior Data Engineer will design and manage critical ETL/ELT pipelines on cloud platforms, ensuring reliable and scalable data operations while collaborating with stakeholders to translate requirements into efficient data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines on cloud platforms like GCP and Azure
• Model data structures for analytical purposes and optimize pipelines for performance and security
• Lead technical direction for data projects and automate workflows using orchestration tools

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience with at least 5 years in data engineering
• Over 5 years of practical experience working with SQL in a production environment
• At least 3 years of experience building and maintaining automated data pipelines
• Proficiency in programming with SQL, Java, or Python for pipeline development
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, and SQL Server
