Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr Data Engineer (remote).

Key Responsibilities

Understand business processes and design data structures and workflows to optimize execution
Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and API integrations to manage increasing data volume
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate data analysis and ensure compliance with data governance standards

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience with SQL, schema design, and data modeling; 2-3 years with Scala
Strong experience with advanced analytics tools and programming languages such as Python and Java
Database development experience with SQL, SPARK, or BigQuery, including NoSQL databases like Hadoop and MongoDB
Experience in Big Data development using Hive, Impala, and Spark; familiarity with Kafka is preferred
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is highly preferable
