Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Engineer - Data (1099 - Contract).

Key Responsibilities

• Support SAS transition priorities by creating or converting existing SAS code to Spark
• Optimize Spark jobs performance and resource usage, addressing bottlenecks in backend systems
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend software components and services

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience with Apache Spark and Python
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• At least 10 years of experience in software development
• AWS experience (S3, EC2, Glue, Lambda, etc.)
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
