Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Staff Data Engineer to provide technical leadership in designing and executing core data platforms and flows.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of complex data systems and pipelines across multiple domains
• Own and evolve shared data platforms, focusing on event- and stream-based systems
• Drive strategic technical decisions regarding architecture, technology selection, and system design

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields with a progression into senior or staff-level roles
• Proven experience architecting and operating large-scale, cloud-native data platforms and pipelines
• Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts
• Experience with event-driven or streaming architectures, particularly Kafka, Airflow, and Snowflake
• Hands-on experience building and operating data systems in AWS
