Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Scientific Data Engineer who will lead the design, development, and testing of software applications to enhance data analytics capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust IT solutions and database architectures to meet business requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in major software applications while mentoring junior team members
• Communicate project plans and status updates effectively to stakeholders and contribute to team objectives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Engineering; or equivalent experience
• Expertise in software development design, including Spark on Snowflake or Databricks, Python, Scala, and SQL
• Experience with ETL data pipelines and database architecture testing methodologies
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure services (e.g., AWS) and Agile development tools
• Demonstrated ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodation
