Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

Senior Data Engineer, a full-time role responsible for designing and building a BigQuery data warehouse, establishing data standards, and collaborating with analysts to develop an analytics platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement the BigQuery environment, including project structure and cost controls
• Set up dbt for transformation logic and migrate existing analytics business logic into version-controlled models
• Configure data ingestion pipelines and partner with various teams to define the warehouse's scope

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience with a modern data stack
• Deep experience with BigQuery or another columnar cloud warehouse
• Extensive experience with dbt, including project structure and modeling patterns
• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling fundamentals
• Experience designing ingestion pipelines from multiple source types
