Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will design and develop data-centric applications to support healthcare workflows, focusing on building scalable data pipelines and mentoring junior engineers while leveraging cloud technologies and big data platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Automate and monitor batch/streaming ELT/ETL pipelines to ensure data accuracy and freshness
• Perform root-cause analyses and triage failures to continuously reduce mean time to recovery (MTTR)
• Collaborate with product and analytics teams to document procedures and provide reliable on-call support

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5 years of related experience; 5-8 years preferred
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and shell scripting (Bash/PowerShell) on Linux
• Experience with cloud computing and data warehousing on relational platforms
• Solid understanding of OLAP/dimensional modeling and RDBMS fundamentals
