Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Data Engineer will orchestrate, deploy, maintain, and scale cloud or on-premises infrastructure for big data management, focusing on developing solutions that deliver data-driven insights and value to the company.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain infrastructure systems, including data warehouses and data access APIs, while preparing and manipulating data using various technologies
• Interpret data and perform quantitative analyses to provide actionable insights, along with managing quality control procedures for data sets
• Create data collection frameworks for both structured and unstructured data, applying best practices for data auditing and performance

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or an additional 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
• 5 years of experience with database design, developing modeling tools, and ETL/ELT script development
• Hands-on experience with application development, relational database layout, and data modeling
• Knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., SQL, Python) and database design concepts
• Experience with data movement concepts and data exchange formats
