Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support data-driven decision-making, the remote Senior Data Engineer will ingest and transform data into accessible products for the Reporting team, focusing on Data Modeling and Data Pipeline development within an analytical data warehouse.

Key responsibilities:

• Translate requirements and data mapping documents into technical designs
• Develop SQL scripts using dbt and build data pipelines with dagster
• Debug and troubleshoot issues during testing or production phases

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in ELT development within a Data Warehouse
• Strong familiarity with dbt and dagster/airflow
• Expertise in Python and SQL, with a focus on column-oriented SQL modeling
• Experience in P&C Insurance or Financial Services Industry is a plus
