Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a seasoned Senior Data Engineer to work remotely in a full-time capacity, responsible for architecting and maintaining data infrastructure, creating reliable data pipelines, and ensuring high-availability access for machine learning and analytics teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve data engineering technology roadmaps aligned with business strategies and security standards
• Provide architectural leadership on complex data initiatives, ensuring scalable and secure solutions
• Lead evaluations of data platforms and vendors, guiding build vs. buy decisions and ensuring consistency with technical direction

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 10+ years in data engineering
• Mastery-level knowledge of modern data platform technologies, including lakehouse architecture and cloud data warehousing
• Proven experience in implementing enterprise-scale data platforms and pipelines
• Deep expertise with cloud-based data platforms such as Azure Data services and Snowflake
• Strong proficiency in programming with tools like Azure Data Factory and languages such as Python and SQL
