Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer, this remote contract position will focus on designing and developing modern cloud-based data platforms, optimizing data pipelines, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance enterprise analytics and reporting capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support cloud-based data platforms, including data lakes and warehouses
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines utilizing Databricks, PySpark, and Delta Lake
• Partner with business analysts and leadership to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a related technical field
• Expert-level experience with Databricks and related technologies
• Strong programming skills in Python and advanced SQL development
• Proven experience in designing and supporting large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines
• Experience with cloud-based data solutions in Azure and/or AWS environments
