Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will design and manage scalable data platforms, own the full data lifecycle, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decisions for a product trusted by millions of families.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage scalable data platforms for real-time analytics and batch processing using AI-assisted development
• Own the full data lifecycle including ingestion, ETL, storage, and serving, while building and iterating on pipelines
• Collaborate with product analytics and data science to transform messy data into reliable, production-ready datasets

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with high-volume data infrastructure
• Proficiency in Databricks, AWS (EMR, Kinesis/Kafka, S3), Apache Spark, and SQL
• Experience with AI tools and LLM-based development
• Familiarity with data quality frameworks and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform)
• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent hands-on experience
