Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support the growth of AI initiatives, the remote Senior Data Engineer will build and enhance a unified analytical data platform, ensuring reliable data access for AI agents and internal teams while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build Scorpion's analytical data platform, creating a trusted source of truth for business and client data
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines that efficiently move data from operational systems into the analytical platform
• Establish and improve data quality standards, service level agreements, and governance practices across teams

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 7+ years of data engineering experience, including building production-scale analytical data platforms
• Deep expertise with Databricks, Delta Lake, and Apache Spark for large-scale data processing
• Advanced SQL and strong Python skills for data pipeline development and automation
• Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools like dbt, Airflow, or Prefect
