Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Senior Data Engineer will design and manage critical data pipelines on cloud platforms to support healthcare data analytics, ensuring reliable and scalable data operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines on cloud platforms like GCP and Azure
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into efficient data solutions
• Lead technical direction for data projects, ensuring pipelines are optimized for performance, reliability, and security

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience with at least 5 years in data engineering
• Over 5 years of practical experience working with SQL in a production environment
• At least 3 years of experience building and maintaining automated data pipelines using batch or streaming methods
• Proficiency in programming with SQL, Java, or Python for pipeline development
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, and BigQuery
