Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support the evolution of a modern data platform, the full-time remote Senior Data Engineer will design and maintain scalable data pipelines, contribute to the implementation of a cloud-native architecture, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data reliability and performance.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable, fault-tolerant data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
• Contribute to the design and implementation of a greenfield data platform using Python, Kubernetes, and AWS services
• Lead development discussions and define engineering patterns and standards while modernizing legacy data processes

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience
• 6+ years of experience building production-grade data systems with ownership of system design
• Strong experience with ETL/ELT pipelines across structured and unstructured data
• Proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in cloud-based architectures (AWS preferred)
• Experience with Docker and orchestration frameworks such as Airflow
