Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support high-volume manufacturing and IoT data initiatives, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will build scalable cloud data pipelines using Spark, Kafka, and Airflow while leveraging SQL and Python expertise in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable cloud data pipelines for real-time data extraction from manufacturing systems
• Bridge OT/IT systems using industrial protocols to enhance data flow and operational efficiency
• Apply methodologies such as OEE, Six Sigma, and lean practices to drive improvements in yield and uptime

Required qualifications

• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in data engineering or related fields
• Proficient in SQL and Python with hands-on experience in medallion/lakehouse architectures
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, or Azure
• Familiarity with industrial protocols including OPC-UA, MQTT, and Modbus
• Knowledge of shop floor operations and production planning is a plus
