Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the design and architecture of critical data pipelines, the fully remote Senior Data Engineer will establish technical standards, mentor the engineering team, and ensure the reliability of the orchestration infrastructure in a full-time capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of critical data pipelines and data platform components
• Set technical standards and best practices to elevate the data team
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related quantitative field
• 6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with demonstrated senior-level ownership
• Expert proficiency in SQL and Python, with deep experience in Airflow or a comparable orchestrator
• Strong track record with dbt, modern data warehouse platforms, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with AWS, Fivetran, and automated testing; Ruby experience is a plus
