Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting the administration and scaling of a unified Databricks environment, the full-time remote Senior Data Engineer will manage platform health, oversee governance, and facilitate onboarding for various business domains while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and configure the global Databricks environment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
• Manage workspace governance including access controls, cost monitoring, and job scheduling
• Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks while maintaining SLAs for platform availability

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or platform/infrastructure engineering
• Hands-on experience with Databricks administration, including workspace management and cluster configuration
• Strong understanding of Apache Spark and distributed computing fundamentals
• Experience with AWS services such as S3, Glue, and Kinesis
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools and CI/CD practices
