Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance Empower's enterprise data foundation, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will design and deliver scalable data platforms, optimize data pipelines, and ensure data governance in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and evolve scalable cloud data platforms for analytics, automation, and regulatory reporting
• Build, optimize, and maintain ELT and ETL pipelines for structured and semi-structured data ingestion
• Embed data quality and governance into engineering deliverables while collaborating with cross-functional teams

Required qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in data engineering with hands-on ownership of cloud data platforms
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
• Deep experience with AWS serverless technologies, SQL, and data modeling practices
• Experience designing governed data solutions in regulated environments; healthcare exposure is a plus
• Preferred certifications include AWS Data Engineer or AWS Data Analytics
