Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Senior Data Engineer will design, build, and manage scalable data pipelines across GCP and Azure for healthcare data, taking full ownership of ETL/ELT processes while ensuring performance, reliability, and HIPAA compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using GCP, Azure, BigQuery, and SQL Server
• Design data models and orchestrate workflows using tools like Airflow and ADF
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions and mentor junior engineers

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of senior-level experience in Data Engineering
• Strong expertise in SQL along with Python or Java
• Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP and Azure
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and secure handling of PHI data
• Proficiency with orchestration tools like Airflow and CI/CD practices
