Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a Senior Data Engineer to work remotely in a full-time capacity, this role will focus on building and maintaining high-performance data streaming architectures using technologies like Apache Kafka and AWS Kinesis for real-time data processing and analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable streaming data architectures and real-time data pipelines
• Manage and optimize Apache Kafka clusters and AWS Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka (MSK) environments
• Develop real-time stream processing applications and ensure seamless integration with data lakes and warehouses

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering with a specialization in streaming data
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field
• Extensive hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and AWS MSK in production environments
• Strong background in real-time data processing and stream analytics
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and Scala for streaming applications
