Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

Designing and implementing scalable data warehouse solutions, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will integrate client data with the Ignite platform, lead SQL Server to Databricks migrations, and develop data products using dbt while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the migration of SQL Server workloads to Databricks, including schema mapping and query optimization
• Develop and maintain data products with a focus on high data quality and alignment with client analytics needs
• Communicate project status and risks to stakeholders, ensuring successful implementation and knowledge transfer

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field
• 4-7 years of relevant experience in data engineering or a similar role
• Deep technical experience with SQL, ETL processes, and cloud environments
• Experience with dbt for building, testing, and documenting data models
• Proven ability to migrate workloads from SQL Server to Databricks, including performance tuning and data validation
