Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support a large-scale enterprise initiative, the remote contract Senior Data Engineer will design, deploy, and operate a multi-cloud API gateway platform based on Apigee Hybrid across GCP, Azure, and on-premises environments, focusing on API governance and security transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Provision and manage Kubernetes clusters and deploy Apigee Hybrid runtime components for secure API ecosystems
• Integrate telemetry into observability platforms and implement non-blocking telemetry architectures for performance monitoring
• Support production readiness and collaborate across teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with delivery timelines

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes, particularly AKS
• Experience working with GCP and Azure environments
• Proficiency in Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
