Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Senior Data Engineer to lead the delivery of reliable, scalable data pipelines and enhance data platform support in a full-time remote role, focusing on complex source integrations, advanced platform support, and the design of curated datasets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex data pipelines, including onboarding new sources and ensuring operational handoff with comprehensive documentation
• Provide advanced platform support across ingestion, transformation, and monitoring, owning outcomes for dependable data delivery and performance
• Design and maintain data transformation models using dbt or similar frameworks, ensuring quality through testing and documentation

Required qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering or related roles with ownership of production pipelines and platform reliability
• Advanced SQL proficiency with experience diagnosing production data issues, including ingestion failures and performance bottlenecks
• Hands-on experience with dbt or comparable frameworks for building and maintaining data models in a cloud data warehouse
• Experience supporting a modern cloud data warehouse, preferably Snowflake, with practical knowledge of performance considerations
• Experience operating managed ingestion tools like Fivetran in a production environment, including troubleshooting connector failures
