Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support a team of analytics and machine learning experts, the remote contract Senior Data Engineer will build and maintain data pipeline architecture, supervise junior engineers, and create tools for analytics while optimizing data systems across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise junior members of the data engineering team, guiding and reviewing their work
• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture to meet business requirements
• Build infrastructure for data extraction, transformation, and loading from various sources using SQL, Python, and AWS

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field
• Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases such as Postgres and MySQL
• Experience in building data pipelines and architectures from raw, loosely structured data
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services, including EC2, RDS, Redshift, Glue, and S3
