Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing pediatric practice, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain data models and pipelines for product, clinical analytics, and operational reporting in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, well-tested DBT models and maintain ELT pipelines for data workflows
• Write performance-aware SQL, optimize query execution, and troubleshoot complex data issues
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to understand data needs and document methodologies for transparency

Required qualifications

• 5-7+ years of healthcare data engineering or analytics engineering experience with expert-level SQL proficiency
• Strong experience with dbt and orchestration tools
• Experience with cloud data warehouses, preferably Snowflake, and performance-aware SQL development
• Proven ability to design scalable data models and implement comprehensive testing strategies
• Comfort with modern engineering practices, including version control, CI/CD, and code review
