Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a contract position, the remote role will lead the development of an internal data platform using Snowflake and dbt, focusing on building and maintaining a scalable data foundation with a modern medallion-style architecture.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the development and maintenance of the internal data platform, ensuring high-quality, reusable data assets for analytics and operations
• Design and implement data models, schemas, and transformation processes using Snowflake and dbt
• Automate administrative tasks and optimize warehouse performance, data sharing, and cost-control practices

Required qualifications:

• Proven experience with Snowflake and dbt, including schema design and data modeling techniques
• Strong understanding of medallion architecture and experience building bronze/silver/gold layers
• Familiarity with AWS integration and BI tools
• Experience implementing slowly changing dimensions (SCDs) and data marts
• Hands-on experience with data transformation tooling and DataOps practices
