Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the technical architecture of the data platform, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will lead cross-functional initiatives, drive the technical roadmap, and build scalable data pipelines using AWS serverless technologies and Snowflake in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical roadmap for data infrastructure in partnership with leadership
• Design and maintain infrastructure for AI/ML workloads, including feature pipelines and model monitoring
• Mentor senior engineers and establish engineering standards for observability, testing, and documentation practices

Required qualifications

• Significant professional experience in data engineering or backend/infrastructure engineering, with at least 3 years at a senior or staff level
• Proven track record of owning architecture for data platforms or large-scale distributed systems
• Deep expertise in AWS cloud services and infrastructure as code (Terraform and/or CDK)
• Expert-level SQL and Snowflake knowledge, including performance tuning and cost optimization
• Advanced Python skills with emphasis on building reusable libraries and frameworks
