Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

As a full-time Senior Data Engineer, the successful candidate will build and optimize data infrastructure to provide insights on cost, margin, and performance, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Instrument core infrastructure to capture performance signals in collaboration with the infrastructure team
• Build and maintain ingestion pipelines from various data sources into BigQuery and a low-latency analytical store
• Design and operate ETL processes for cost, margin, and usage analytics with durable and observable pipelines

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a software or data engineer with a strong software engineering background (Python, Go, or similar)
• Proven ability to deploy code into critical production systems safely, with knowledge of database performance and query patterns
• Hands-on experience building ingestion pipelines into data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake) and low-latency analytical stores (e.g., ClickHouse)
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency with dbt and orchestration tools (e.g., Dagster, Airflow)
• Experience collaborating across teams to translate business needs into effective data systems
