Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

Leading a team of engineers, the full-time remote Senior Data Engineer will design, implement, and deliver scalable data systems for government partners, ensuring high standards of simplicity, empathy, and accessibility.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team to design and build well-crafted software in an agile environment
• Develop scalable data ingestion and processing pipelines within cloud-based platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications

Required qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience in an agile, multidisciplinary team environment, preferably with cloud platforms
• Minimum 3 years of experience leading and mentoring engineering teams
• Experience building data services on AWS and large-scale data ecosystems
• Proficiency in Python or Ruby for application and API development
• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Apache Spark and AWS services like Glue and Redshift
