Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the data systems that drive business insights, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will design and maintain scalable data pipelines, manage data architecture, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for reporting and analytics across product lines
• Own data architecture decisions including schema design, data modeling, and ETL/ELT strategy
• Mentor junior engineers and lead code and design reviews to uphold technical quality standards

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering or a closely related software engineering discipline
• Expert-level SQL/TSQL skills with experience in query optimization and data storage
• Proficiency in Python for pipeline and application development
• Hands-on experience with columnar databases and cloud-native platforms like Snowflake or Amazon Redshift
• Experience designing ETL/ELT workflows and dimensional data models, preferably using Kimball methodology
