Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

As a full-time Senior Data Engineer working remotely, the successful candidate will design and implement production data pipelines on Databricks, enhance data observability, and ensure identity resolution across multiple systems to support the Bloomerang Giving Platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design and ship production pipelines using a medallion architecture on Databricks
• Build and harden the curated and presentation layers for unified data models and reporting
• Resolve identity across products to create a trustworthy record for donor data

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building production data pipelines on modern lakehouse or warehouse platforms, preferably Databricks
• Experience in identity resolution and merging records across systems
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python (or Scala), with familiarity in PySpark
• Working knowledge of data modeling, particularly dimensional and Data Vault 2.0 patterns
• Experience operating production pipelines with monitoring and error handling capabilities
