Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

Owning and enhancing the Data Layer, the remote Senior Data Engineer will manage ingestion from diverse sources, build and operate transformation pipelines, and ensure data integrity while leveraging AI tools to optimize processes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end Data Layer, including ingestion, modeling, and serving for products and AI
• Develop and maintain ingestion and transformation pipelines using modern orchestration frameworks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data contracts and ensure data correctness

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience as a data engineer with ownership of production pipelines and data models
• Strong programming and SQL skills with experience in building efficient data pipelines and schemas
• Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses and major cloud platforms
• Familiarity with ingestion from multiple source types, including file-based, event/streaming, and API-based
• Daily use of AI coding tools for development and data validation
