Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing software consultancy, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will design and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and Snowflake while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python (PySpark) and Snowflake
• Utilize Snowflake's architecture to build and optimize modern cloud data solutions and implement data modeling techniques
• Collaborate with data architects and stakeholders to create logical and physical data models while ensuring data quality and governance

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• Proven experience developing end-to-end data pipelines and proficiency with Snowflake, including performance optimization
• Advanced SQL development skills with the ability to write complex queries and optimize large-scale workloads
• Familiarity with cloud-based data ecosystems, particularly Microsoft Azure, and experience managing CI/CD pipelines using Git
• Knowledge of data integration best practices and data governance standards
