Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing software consultancy, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and Snowflake in a remote environment across Latin America.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring efficient data ingestion and transformation processes
• Utilize Snowflake architecture to build and optimize cloud data solutions, implementing best practices for data modeling and governance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide technical expertise in data integration and architecture

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• Proven experience developing end-to-end data pipelines and proficiency with Snowflake, including virtual warehouses and performance optimization
• Advanced SQL development skills with the ability to write complex queries and optimize large-scale workloads
• Experience with dimensional modeling techniques, including star schemas and fact tables
• Familiarity with cloud-based data ecosystems, particularly Microsoft Azure, and managing source code and CI/CD pipelines using Git
