Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a temporary full-time basis, the Senior Data Engineer will design, build, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support enterprise data product initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimize ETL/ELT data pipelines using AWS Glue, Apache Iceberg, and AWS data services
• Develop and maintain Amazon Redshift data warehouse solutions, focusing on schema design and SQL performance tuning
• Implement data modeling and governance practices to ensure reliable, analytics-ready datasets

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of Data Engineering experience
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, Athena, Lake Formation, S3, and Python (PySpark)
• Advanced SQL expertise, including complex queries and ETL development
• Experience with Apache Iceberg, data governance, CI/CD, and database migration tools
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality data pipelines
