Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support a large-scale data engineering initiative, the contract Senior Data Engineer will design and architect scalable data solutions, manage distributed teams, and build data pipelines using Spark and Airflow in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and architect high-performance data solutions for large tech companies
• Manage a distributed organization of data engineers, ETL specialists, and data scientists
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines using Spark and Airflow

Required qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in IT/Engineering
• 4-year technical degree
• 8+ years of experience working for large tech companies
• 5+ years of experience managing large distributed teams
• Proven expertise in programming with Python/Scala and strong SQL skills
