Job Summary

Passionate about progressive politics, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will design and implement scalable data architecture, optimize data pipelines, and lead cross-functional projects in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Shape and manage data pipelines and integrations for the RCT platform and foundational voter datasets
• Extend and optimize the data platform for reliability and performance during election cycles
• Lead projects across multiple systems, ensuring quality and mentoring team members through code reviews

Required qualifications

• 3-6+ years of experience in designing and operating production data pipelines and integrations
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
• Experience with modern data stacks, including cloud data warehouses and orchestration tools
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical work across systems and teams
• Genuine commitment to progressive political causes and comfort operating on a political calendar
