Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of scalable data solutions, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain data pipelines and systems remotely, utilizing modern data engineering best practices and tools such as Python, Apache Spark, and AWS services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and data models using various technologies including Python and AWS Glue
• Develop AWS-native data platforms and optimize workflows for structured and semi-structured data
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality data solutions and mentor junior engineers

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• 9+ years of professional experience in data engineering or related domains
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, Python, SQL, and AWS services
• Experience designing and maintaining AWS-native data platforms and developing scalable data pipelines
• Familiarity with modern data lake technologies and relational/NoSQL databases
