Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

Focused on modern data platforms and AI enablement, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will design and build advanced data pipelines in Snowflake, collaborate with analytics teams, and mentor junior engineers while working primarily remotely in the Kansas City area.

Key responsibilities

• Build advanced data pipelines using the Medallion Architecture to create high-quality data sources in Snowflake
• Design analytical data models to support BI, advanced analytics, and AI workloads, translating complex business questions into modular data assets
• Serve as a primary advisor to the Data Management team, identifying technical improvements and mentoring junior engineers on best practices

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• 4-5 years of practical production work in Data Engineering
• Expertise in Python programming, Snowflake, and SQL with a focus on query optimization
• Experience with a large cloud provider such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Ability to construct reliable data pipelines for scheduled and event-based workflows
