Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing data team, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will evolve the existing data platform for reliability and scalability while working remotely primarily during Pacific Time hours.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and enhance the data platform to ensure scale and reliability
• Define and implement automated data integrity checks and CI/CD pipelines for quality assurance
• Act as a technical leader and mentor, setting standards for system design and platform reliability

Required qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in designing and operating high-scale, distributed data platforms
• Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling within modern cloud data warehouses
• Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery and dbt for data transformation
• Experience with data ingestion tools such as Fivetran or similar ELT platforms
• Proven track record of mentoring engineers and improving technical standards
