Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

Hands-on and detail-driven, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will build and operate data pipelines, assess and improve existing data systems, and maintain data infrastructure while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and compliance, ensuring end-to-end operation and data quality
• Assess existing data systems to improve documentation, reliability, and operational standards while identifying technical debt
• Provision and manage infrastructure for data workloads using infrastructure-as-code practices and contribute to shared infrastructure improvements

Required qualifications

• 6-8+ years of data engineering experience with hands-on ownership of production systems
• Strong pipeline design and orchestration skills in a production environment
• Advanced SQL skills for complex transformations and performance tuning
• Proficiency in Python for production-grade coding and debugging
• Working knowledge of AWS data infrastructure, including S3 and IAM
