Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely on a 12-month assignment, the Senior Data Engineer will design, develop, and optimize enterprise-scale data infrastructure and pipelines while ensuring data accessibility, reliability, and security across the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Design and build complex, end-to-end ETL pipelines to move data from various sources to data warehouses
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and databases to enhance processing speed, scalability, and cost-efficiency
- Mentor junior engineers and translate complex business requirements into technical solutions
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with direct experience in Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and ELT/ETL processes
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field; Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Prior experience in the Pharma/Biotech industry
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Microsoft Azure
