Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

To architect and build a next-generation cloud enterprise data platform, the full-time remote Senior Data Engineer will manage the entire data lifecycle, including ingestion, storage, querying, data quality, operations, and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Build and operate a big data platform that processes and refines data for efficient access
• Collaborate with other senior engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions
• Refactor and upgrade existing data systems to meet modern engineering standards

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building cloud-native data solutions, preferably on Google Cloud and/or Azure
• Proficient in Python programming and SQL with a strong ability to write clean, scalable code
• Experience with data orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or Azure Data Factory
• Degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent practical work experience
• Strong understanding of data storage solutions like Google Cloud Storage or Azure Blob Storage
