Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
Building and maintaining data pipelines, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will extract, transform, and load live product data into research-ready formats while collaborating with research and engineering teams in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Design and optimize data models for AI Impact Reports and industry publications
- Ensure data quality and consistency across various datasets and support ad hoc data requests
- Document schemas, transformation logic, and pipeline dependencies for self-service by analysts and researchers
Required qualifications
- Strong SQL skills with experience in complex queries and performance optimization
- Hands-on experience with Postgres or similar relational databases, including semi-structured data
- Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines for analytics-ready data
- Ability to clean, normalize, and validate large, messy datasets
- Strong documentation habits for schemas, data dictionaries, and pipeline runbooks
