Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
To architect and optimize foundational data infrastructure for a new strategic project, the fully remote Senior Data Engineer will establish relationships across heterogeneous data sources, build comprehensive data catalogs, and fine-tune high-performance data pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect conceptual, logical, and physical data models, resolving complex entity relationships across various data sources
- Implement enterprise data cataloging and metadata tracking to ensure visibility and governance across all data layers
- Analyze execution plans and optimize SQL queries to ensure high throughput and minimal latency in data processing
Required Qualifications
- 5-8 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, and Enterprise Data Modeling
- Proven expertise in dimensional modeling, Data Vault, and multi-source relationship mapping
- Solid experience with SAP Core, PostgreSQL, and MySQL databases
- Familiarity with modern data cataloging and lineage tools such as OpenMetadata or Apache Atlas
- Expert knowledge in SQL optimization and performance tuning strategies
