Senior Data Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a Senior Data Engineer to work remotely, this full-time position will build and optimize data pipelines and systems using Python and AWS DynamoDB, supporting the modernization of financial services platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and implement robust ETL/ELT processes for both batch and streaming data workloads
- Develop and optimize DynamoDB data models and indexing strategies to meet diverse access patterns and high throughput requirements
- Establish data validation and monitoring mechanisms to ensure pipeline reliability and collaborate on data governance best practices
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or software engineering roles focused on data-centric solutions
- Expert Python programming skills with a strong focus on data processing and pipeline development
- Deep experience with AWS DynamoDB, including data modeling and performance tuning
- Solid experience in building high-scale ETL/ELT pipelines and working with streaming and batch data
- Experience with NoSQL databases and schema design trade-offs in key-value and document stores
