Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support rapid growth in broadband infrastructure monitoring, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will build, optimize, and maintain data infrastructure on AWS and GCP, focusing on large-scale government data programs in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable data infrastructure, including data lake and warehouse architecture
• Build and maintain production-grade Apache Airflow DAGs for data workflows and ensure observability across the data platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical architecture and contribute to roadmap discussions

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience with a focus on production systems and end-to-end support
• Strong proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, Athena) and Python, with experience in AWS data services (S3, RDS, Lambda)
• Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools in production environments
• Experience with large-scale time-series or event-based data systems and building data quality frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and contribute to team culture
